When we Left my dock in everglades city this morning for an 1/2 day trip the weather was perfect no wind and sunny , We decided to head south of everglades city and fish the mouth of the rivers .When we arrived at the first spot the snook were crashing baits . The baits we were using were live finger mullet that we netted first thing in the morning. On our first cast we scored with a nice snook in the 14 lb range. As the rest on the morning went on we caught many more snook with a few redfish thrown in .Today was a great day of fishing in the everglades

After taking a nice 3 week vacation it was back to fishing this weekend . When we left my dock in everglades city the rain was falling hard .With no bat around we decided to cast riptide jigs for snook and redfish . The first spot we stopped at was a outside mangrove island were the tide was running out . On out first few casts we scored with several nice snook to 28 inches as the morning went on we fished sevearl more spots we we caught a nice mix of redfish and snook. This day of fishing in the everglades was filled with some great snook and redfish action
