Today Everglades fishing Report

When we left my dock in everglades city we were in search for some trout for dinner . With the tide rising we decided to fish a grass flat south of everglades city . The baits we were using were rootbeer colored ripetide jigs, on our first drift we scored with 7 nice trout to 5 lbs .As the morning went on we caught many more nice trout and a few pompano . After a great morning of fishing for trout the afternoon storms started to build so we headed back to everglades city

Everglades fishing report

July 21, 2008

When we left my dock out of everglades city the weather was steamy hot it felt like the hottest day of the year . Our plan on this morning was to head south and fish the mouth of a couple of rivers . With the tide ripping out, the snook we on the bite we spent 3 hours fishing many points and catching a lot snook to 34 inches. As the tide slowed up the tarpon started to show up ever where so move decided to see if we could score with a couple silver king after about an 1/2 hour of casting to rolling fish we finally  scored with one in the 30lb range. Todays   weather in the everglades was hot and so was the fishing

Everglades Fishing Report

July 15, 2008

The weather this week in the everglades is filled with a lot of rain . Today when we left my dock we had our rain gear on and headed south in search for some snook and redfish. When we arrived at the first spot the rain had stop and the sun started shinning threw the clouds . The spot we were fishing was a shoreline with an oyster bottom there we caught several nice redfish with a few snook mixed in , As the rest of the morning went on we scored with some more nice redfish and snook with a few nice trout thrown in . Overall it was a good day of fishing in the everglades

Everglades fishing report

July 14, 2008

Today when we left my dock in everglades city the storms were starting to built up so we decided to fish close to everglades city . The first spot we stop at was a bay that has been holding a good number of baby tarpon .after a few minute of casting we had on in the 15 lb range but after a few minutes he threw the hook and went on his way . When the tarpon bite stoped we decided to net some live mullet for bait and headed to a deep pass to fish for snook and redfish ,When we arrived in the pass the snook and redfish were hungry there we scored with several nice redfish and snook to 10lbs. This day of fishing in the everglades was filled some great action

Todays everglades report

July 11, 2008

Today when we left my dock in everglades city we decided to run south and cast riptide jigs for snook and redfish .On our way down south we first stop by some by a old dead tree that was in about 4 ft of water were there has been some triple tail hanging around and with 2 cast we scored with 2 triple tail in10lbs range. After catching the triple tail we contuned down south and worked shorelines were the redfish and snook were on the bite catching 15 redfish and 9 snook . This day of fishing in the everglades was filled with some great action

Everglades fishing report

July 9, 2008

When we left my dock today in everglades the weather was cloudy and overcast . We decided to stay close to everglades city and fish for snook ,the bait we we were using were live menhaden that we netted first thing in the morning .The first spot we stops at was a oyster bar and within the first couple of minute we scored with a nice redfish in the 6 lb range. As the rest of the morning went on we caught a nice mix of redfish and snook . In the early afternoon the storms started to built so we headed back to everglades city . This time of year in the everglades it good to leave the dock at daylight and get your fishing in before the storms roll in

Everglades fishing report

July 8, 2008

When we left my dock in everglades city we decided to head to the inshore wrecks around everglades city and fish for snapper , grouper,mackerel and anything else that wanted to bite. The bait we were using were fresh cut lady fish and live shrimp. On the first cast we scored with a nice mackerel in the 5 lbs range the next fish we brought over the side was a snapper in the 2lbs range .As the rest of the day went on we caught a nice mix of jewfish , grouper trout and jacks . This time of year in the everglades with the calm weather is a great to fish these inshore wrecks

Todays everglades report

July 7, 2008

We left my dock in everglades city this morning at daylight to beat the afternoon heat of July. Our plan was to cast riptide jigs around shorelines for snook and redfish. At our first spot the redfish were hungry wae scored with sevearl to 9 lbs . At the next spot we had a good mix of redfish and snook . As the morning went on the fishing action stayed steady and buy the afternoon heavy Storm’s started to build over the everglades so we headed back to dock . Overall it was a great morning of fishing

July 3, 2008

When we left my dock out of everglades city this morning the weather was perfect no wind or rain so we decided to head down south to the mouth of the rivers and fish for snook and redfish. The bait we were using were live pilchards and finger mullet that we netted over a grass flat. With the tide running out the snook were hungry on our first cast we caught and released a nice 8 lb snook. As the rest of the morning went on we scored with several more snook with a few redfish and nice trout thrown in .Today was a great day of fishing in the everglades

Todays everglades fishing report

July 2, 2008

 As we Left out of my dock in everglades city this morning my clients decided they would like to do some shark fishing so we loaded up the boat with some live lady fish for bait and headed off to a deep pas were the tarpon and sharks like to pass threw. With in the the first 1/2 hour of having our baits out we hook a 100lb tarpon but after a few jump he went on his way. The next bite was a nice 80lb bull shark  and after a hard fight we finally got him to  side of the boat were we released him safely back into the water . As the rest of the day went on we had plenty of action with many different spices of sharks .The summer months in the everglades is a great time of year to shark fish
